Ustaz Khairuddin was the Imam of Masjid Jamek Tambun, Ipoh, as well as the Imam of Masjid Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq, Bangsar and Masjid Jamek Batu 12, Puchong, where he led prayers and provides spiritual guidance to the community. In addition, he managed administrative responsibilities at Masjid Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq Bangsar, ensuring the smooth operation of mosque activities.
His expertise extends to halal auditing, where he assesses compliance with halal standards, and he is also a respected public speaker and religious teacher, sharing his knowledge on various Islamic topics. He had been granted the authority (Tauliah) to teach Fardu Ain and Al-Quran by JAWI, in addition to his credentials as an imam.
