Lee May Yin joined McDonald’s 24 years ago and has the privilege of having worked in both the Singapore and Malaysia markets. In 2000, McDonald’s Singapore hired her as a Purchaser, and over the years, she managed both the Purchasing and Finance Departments, eventually earning a seat on the Senior Management Team in Singapore.
In 2008, May Yin relocated back to Kuala Lumpur to join McDonald’s Malaysia, where she took on the Finance, Supply Chain, and IT portfolios, securing a position on the Senior Management Team in Malaysia. As the Vice President and Chief Finance Officer, May Yin plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of McDonald’s Malaysia. Her leadership and strategic vision continue to drive the company’s financial performance, ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence.
May Yin is also a Board Member of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC Malaysia) and has been actively involved in RMHC initiatives in both Singapore and Malaysia, reflecting her commitment to giving back to the community.
Prior to joining McDonald’s, May Yin was an auditor with KPMG and subsequently held positions at Citibank and British American Tobacco. Her extensive experience in finance, coupled with her diverse roles at McDonald’s, has equipped her with a unique perspective and skill set that she brings to her current position.
