A good teacher can inspire hope,ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning among the students.That is what my beloved teacher,Mr. Ramle does.Mr. Ramle was my class teacher and Science teacher last year while this year he is my Physics teacher.He is from Tawau, Sabah. Every week,Mr. Ramle has to drive back and forth to meet his family in Tawau. The journey from Lahad Datu to Tawau is tiring as Tawau is far away from Lahad Datu and the highway in Sabah is also bumpy and dangerous.This really affects me as a student to accept this kind of reality.I did asked him why he does not want to transfer to Tawau. Then his reply is basically excellent,he said that he willing to drive back and forth because his heart is in my school,SM St.Dominic,Lahad Datu. He also replies that:"what matters in teaching is not only the convenience,but also the school's value in our heart,if we teach in a school just for the students to get good results is not teaching,we need to teach for the students to gain knowledge too!" At first I do not like subjects that are related to Science and Mathematics.When my school examination results came out last year,Mr. Ramle did see my weakness on both subjects.He inspired me and gave me hope and motivation to believe in myself that I can do it and nothing is impossible.He also borrowed me his Science and Mathematics book for me to read and do some revision.If I have any enquiries,he will teach me from scratch.He will explain the whole question with other extra examples that he take from other books,just to make me understand.I did take his advice to believe in myself and study hard to achieve flying colours in my PT3 examination.No pain no gain,what I did before PT3 paid off when the results came out.I got straight A! I immediately went to his desk and thanked him for his support.Then,he said that it was not his help on making me got straight A,it actually lies in myself,my determination and hard work that determine my results.He was so proud of me at that time and I was so thankful to him too! When my school organizes some activities,Mr. Ramle will set up the speaker systems all by himself.Sometimes I offer to help him,but he refuses to receive my help.During this year Chinese New Year celebration,he offered himself to perform in front of many students.He sang a Chinese song even though he is a Muslim and he does not know how to speak Chinese.That scene is really heart warming,he struggles to sing at that time while looking at the monitor screen that displayed Chinese words with pronunciation. When he finished singing,the whole crowd gave a round of applause,I was obviously proud of him at that time. Mr. Ramle always hold a class party every semester just to celebrate our class students birthday.At last year,he held a birthday party celebration in KFC during the first semester just to celebrate students' birthday from January to June,he paid all the food that we ate and the cake by himself.I was so touched by his willingness to hold a party by using his own pocket money without even complaining how expensive the cost was and even expect nothing in return for that.During last year school holidays,he even invited us to join him to go to the funfair.He also paid our entrance fees and funfair rides' fees at that time.All the class students really enjoyed ourselves there,but Mr. Ramle did not join us for any ride,he just kept taking our pictures when we ride on the funfair rides.That scene is still fresh in my memory.He sacrificed his time just to capture the wonderful moments in our lives without his presence,that was really sad and heart melting. When I stay at school in the afternoon for practices, he always ask me did I had my lunch.If I did not had my lunch yet,he will buy me lunch at the school canteen.Sometimes when I was alone in the school canteen during my lunch,he will tell me some funny jokes just to cheer me up.Those jokes and Mr. Ramle actions to cheer me up really make my day. I am so glad and thankful that I have a teacher like Mr. Ramle who displays a variety of good qualities as a teacher.When he teaches our class,we can see the passion of teaching in his eyes and he will teach us patiently until we understand the topic deeply.His willingness,dedication and motivation to teach all the students is just rewarding.Whenever there are trials and tribulations,he will accept it with a broad smile,he always come into our class with that smile.He never teaches us with a bad mood.With all of his good qualities as a teacher and inspires us as a student,he really deserves this inspirational award.Thank you,Mr. Ramle for your willingness,dedication and motivation to teach me.I l will always love you and remember you teacher!
