Teaching is a calling. Not everyone has the will or the stamina to do it well. It takes love, pride, and an almost sacred commitment that can't be explained in words. The best example of all above will be my art teacher Mr Eugene. He is just a simple man who always being there for students who are down and someone to hear them out. Although we are in a private secondary school,many of the students here comes from a difficult family background where parents are just trying their best to put food on the table but neglects their childrens. Many of them dont even have love and affirmation from their parents..but God is great! He sent Mr Eugene. He is always on the lookout for these kind of students and he does all these although he is super busy in school.He knows exactly when a child is down .He even gives his own pocket money to some student who are in need of money to buy food.i have witnessed an incident where a form 2 boy was crying.he took him to a side,sat with him and poof!! That boy was laughing all the way after that! It was just beautiful ! We all know what Mr.Eugene has done for us and to share all that is like reading out the Holy Books. It's just too many. He is beyond a teacher for us here in Stella Maris. We are blessed to have him as our teacher,our brother and our father!
