Aon-Hewitt Best Employers in Malaysia & Asia Pacific 2011

Winners are chosen by participating in the Hewitt Best Employers study. This study enables an organization to measure the effectiveness of its people practices, and identifies a shortlist of the Hewitt Best Employers based on the findings of the research. For the first time, McDonald’s Malaysia is one out of 20 companies that won the Best Employers Award in Asia Pacific, along with McDonald’s China, Singapore and Thailand.

Gold Award for Family Restaurant category

Organized by Reader’s Digest – a highly reputable, global magazine. Introduced the Family Restaurant category in 2009. McDonald’s has been a Gold Award winner every year since then. The winners are voted by consumers - thus consumers have given us their seal of approval when it comes to brand preference.

McDonald's has clinched another prestigious award thanks to the tremendous support of our loyal customers. The Reader's Digest Trusted Brand 2009 award is based solely on consumer votes, and consumers nationwide voted McDonald's worthy of the Gold Award under the Family Restaurant category based on six qualitative criteria: Trustworthiness and Credibility, Quality, Value, Understanding of Customer Needs, Innovative and Social Responsibility.

Employee Awards

We believe in rewarding our employees for their dedication, loyalty and hard work.

For long-serving employees - those who have been with the company for at least five years - they will be honoured with special service awards.

Each year, we confer the 5th Year, 10th Year, 15th Year and 20th Year Service Awards on our employees. Recipients of the 20th Year Service Award receive RM5,000 cash, McDonald's stock options, a certificate and a second sabbatical leave.

Every year, we also grant the President's Award to one special employee and salute two employees who have shown total dedication and commitment in their work during the year with the Best Employee Award.

On top of that, we regularly send top performers on exclusive trips abroad as our way of saying "thank you" and "well done".
