As a company with a global presence and a youthful appeal, we feel strongly that we should encourage an active and balanced lifestyle, especially for young people. So we partnered with the International Olympic Committee, a group of outstanding athletes and other fitness experts to create the Go Active! Program, which provides opportunities for more targeted initiatives at the local level.

In addition, we have:
Expanded Ronald McDonald’s role as an advocate and role model for balanced, active lifestyles.
Revamped our global website, goactive.com to focus on moms and families.
Leveraged our corporate sponsorships to promote healthy activities/ active lifestyles.

Around the world, our local business units and owner/operators support a variety of local youth and family sports and other physical activity programs.

For example, we at McDonald's Malaysia have been organising the annual Olympic Day Run in collaboration with the Olympic Council of Malaysia. The Fitness Fun with Ronald McDonald program is another initiative, which we have carried out to cultivate balanced, active lifestyle habits among children.
